EIB Investment Survey - Tracking investment needs and constraints across Europe

The annual EIB Group Survey on Investment and Investment Finance (EIBIS) is an EU-wide survey that gathers qualitative and quantitative information on investment activities by SMEs and larger corporates, their financing requirements and the difficulties they face.

The survey involves interviews with 12 500 businesses across different sectors, sizes and from all EU Member States.

As the EU bank, the EIB Group is at the centre of European economic policy, responding to the need to accelerate investment to strengthen job creation and long-term competitiveness and sustainability across all 28 EU member States. Our leading role in the Investment Plan for Europe is part of this. By tracking changes in business investment, and identifying and understanding investment needs and constraints, the EIB can better contribute to a policy response that properly addresses the needs of businesses, promoting investment. We hold events across Europe to discuss EIBIS findings and what they mean for different countries.
