Process(es) for improving staff competency to implement the environmental and social policies and procedures as applied to business lines

A total of 18 training events were conducted in 2011, spread evenly throughout the calendar year. EIB employees, and specifically staff working on project-related issues, were presented with updates on general environmental, biodiversity, social assessment and climate action topics.
The total number of attendees for all sessions was 610.
Occasional training courses were given on Policies and Standards throughout the year, namely 3 on Social Assessment, 5 on Climate Action and 2 on the E&S Handbook.
A special video training course on Climate Action was given to our Dakar regional office members.
