Procedures for assessing and screening environmental and social risks in business lines

The EIB’s environmental and social policies and the EIB Statement of Environmental and Social Principles and Standards are translated into the operational procedures and routines of the Bank, in particular those of the Projects Directorate. To this effect, the EIB Environmental and Social Practices Handbook collates all such procedures, providing a guide to the risk appraisal and subsequent monitoring work of EIB staff and a point of reference for EIB clients and third parties.
