Complaint
On 3 May 2017, the EIB Complaints Mechanism (EIB-CM) received a complaint alleging the EIB’s failure to reply to the complainant's requests for a loan to finance a transport project. The complainant stated that several requests for funds had been submitted to the EIB as well as to the EIB Dakar Office, and alleged that the EIB services had never replied.
EIB-CM Action
The EIB-CM liaised with the EIB services in Dakar Office and the EIB InfoDesk.
Conclusions
The EIB-CM has concluded that there was no maladministration of the EIB in respect of the allegations of the complainant. It appears that the complainant has been provided with replies and clarifications regarding his/her request for financing from both the EIB InfoDesk and the EIB Dakar Office. In light of the above, the EIB-CM closed the case with no recommendation.
